What exactly does Melody Frontier do?
We help healthcare companies across six areas: regulatory strategy and market entry, business development and licensing, market access and commercial strategy, international expansion, pharmaceutical operations and compliance, and senior advisory. You can engage one area or several together — the approach is always integrated.
How does a project with Melody start?
With a confidential conversation. Describe the product, market or challenge — by form, email or WhatsApp — and we assess the relevant issues. Only then do we present a proposal, tailored to the project.
Do you work with companies outside Portugal?
Yes. We work with Portuguese companies looking to grow abroad and with international companies entering Portugal, Spain or other selected markets. We work in Portuguese or English.
Which sectors and product types do you cover?
Medicinal products (branded and generic) are the core of our experience. We also work with medical devices, cosmetics, food supplements and healthcare services. Scope always depends on product classification and applicable legislation.
Does Melody have its own team?
Melody is led directly by its founder — he personally follows every project. When complementary expertise is needed (for example, specialised technical execution), we mobilise a selected network of professionals, while keeping coordination and accountability for the project.
Do you replace my regulatory or commercial department, or work with it?
Either, as needed. For companies without an internal team, we take on the role — including as interim leadership. For companies with a team, we act as senior reinforcement for a specific market, project or decision.
How long does a registration or market entry take?
It depends on the product, the market and the route chosen — there are no universal timelines, and be wary of anyone who promises them. What we do is define the route with the best effort-to-result ratio and give you a realistic expectation for your specific case, confirmed against official sources.
How much does it cost to work with Melody?
Every proposal is tailored to the project, after the initial conversation. We do not work from generic price lists — and we do not promise what we cannot deliver.
How is confidentiality handled?
All initial enquiries and projects are treated confidentially. That is why the experience examples on this site are anonymised and described at a high level.
Why Melody rather than a larger consultancy?
Because here you work directly with the person who has the experience: the founder, a pharmacist with more than 20 years in the industry — from industrial level and GMP to commercial management and market access. No intermediate layers: the person who hears the problem is the one who solves it.
